Question from a reader:”Kim, a friend of mine got a voucher instead of a check. I filed for an extension and I am anticipating a refund from the State of California. Am I getting a voucher?”
My answer is that it could be the case though I didn’t see anything mentioned on the CA FTB website. I haven’t heard or seen anything else so at this point, until I hear from other readers who are getting the warrants or ious, I have to just take it as a possibility and not as a fact. I do know that the State of California is out of money and they are waiting for the budget to pass. It is a mess to say the least. The Governor has been doing a lousy job of cutting or trying to cut money in places that we need to keep money in – care for special needs, education, parks and education.
How about some revenue generating ideas like let people who make movies make them tax free for two years in California to get business going here?
Anyways to answer your question, your best bet would be to call the Franchise Tax Board and they can be found by doing a search on the Internet.
Hope that helps and that you are having a great Sunday.

Part of all the proceeds from the sales of that book go to Rett Syndrome research. One girl is born with Rett Syndrome worldwide every fifteen minutes. My daughter Arianna has Rett Syndrome and we are working to do all we can to make her life easier and find a cure in her lifetime. Boys born with the Rett gene generally die at birth.
